This class was designed to address Part II of the recreational therapy process, including implementation and evaluation. Course content included the development of individual and group facilitation skills, counseling theories, treatment modalities and knowledge of individual, group, and program evaluation.
Semi-system design
As students we identified a minimum of five specific group interventions to assist in creating interventions for treatment/services for the stated outcomes (objectives) of an intervention protocol. Using activities emphasizing;
- A Physical element
- Psycho-educational
- Creativity
- Game-like structure
- Challenge structure
